Vintage Midcentury Italian Design Bedside Table by Gio Ponti for La Permanente Mobili Cantu. Made in Italy in the early 1950's. Walnut & Maple wood constructions with crystal glass top and brass half moon handle. Beautiful designed and proportioned side table. This comes in very good, all original condition. With normal signs of wear from it's use and age. This measures 56cm x 57cm x 34,5cm.
GItalian designer, architect and editor, Gio Ponti (1891-1979) is one of the most influential design visionaries of the 20th century. Ponti designed a wide array of furniture and products through his career - from cabinets, lamps and chairs to ceramics and glassware - and his buildings, including Pirelli tower in Milan, and Denver Art Museum, were erected in 14 countries.
