Vintage Midcentury Modern Italian Design Dining Chair set of 4 by Dal Vera selected by Charlotte Perriand for 'Les Arcs'. Made in Italy by Dal Vera, late 1960's / early 1970's. These 'Les Arcs' chairs are manufactured with tubular chrome-plated metal framing and cognac thick saddle leather seating. Chairs manufactured by Dal Vera and selected by Charlotte Perriand (1903-1999) for Les Arcs 1600, a ski resort in the Alps in southeastern France. The leather on these chairs is nice patinated from their use and age. Chairs can be stacked. All chairs are in very good original condition. Two have their original factory label still attached (see pictures). Each chair measures 81,5cm x 49cm x 61cm.

Charlotte Perriand (1903 – 1999) was a French architect and designer, famous for her sober furniture directly inspired by the mountains and Japan. She brought a new vision to the furniture by removing all the elements that seemed superfluous. Her work aimed to create functional living spaces in the belief that better design helps in creating a better society.
